A Sports Administrator was appointed during the review period to promote and strengthen the development of recreational activities and various sports codes, including athletics, basketball, boxing, darts, netball, tennis, and volleyball tennis. Both men and women from Arandis participated in sports activities during 2007.

All sport codes participated in various tournaments throughout the year. Table 4 below shows the medals won overall in 2007. Some 45 male and female darts players from Arandis qualified for selection to the Erongo Regional Team, while 13 qualified for selection to the National Team.

The establishment of an Arandis Sports Council in 2007 was accepted wholeheartedly by all eight local sports codes currently being practised in Arandis. An Interim Management Committee, composed of 9 members (3 women, 6 men), has been given the responsibility of regulating and coordinating sporting activities in Arandis.
